  • “Capacity Enhancement program of Local level Leaders from Sudurpaschim Province.” Two days program was conducted at Dhangadi to capacitate the local level leaders from the districts of Sudurpaschim province.link

 

  • Sankalpa Women’s Alliance For Peace, Justice and Democracy and Women NGOs Federation hosted a Program on “Discussions with Women Political Leaders” "Discussions with Women Political Leaders" - organized by the Women NGOs Federation and Sankalpa Women's Alliance for Peace, Justice, and Democracy.link

 

 

  • “Orientation of Observers for Federal and Province Level elections 2023.The observers from Kahmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Kavepalanchowk disyrict were there in the program. There they were trained about the Elecion Code of Conduct in the elections.link

 

  • “Dialogue with Women Candidates of Federal and Province Level Elections 2022. from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur Districts. The program was conducted to enhance the capacity of the Women Leaders.link

 

  • Sankalpa hosted two Days "Capacity Enhancement Program for the Women Candidates of Diverse Group for the Upcoming Federal and Province Level elections 2022".

         The program was hosted at Itahari- Sunsari district for the women candidates of Province 1 and Siraha of Madhesh Province for the upcoming                 Federal and Province Level Elections-2022, with support of Womankind Worldwide.link link

 

 

  • Sankalpa-WA with UNDP-Election Support Project conducted two days "Capacity Enhancement Program for The Women Candidates of Diverse Group for the Federal and Province Level Elections 2022" at Butwal of Lumbini Province. Women Candidates were really glad to take part in such interactive sessions and also expressed their enthusiasm for the upcoming elections.link

 

 

  • "Interaction program among the leaders of political parties for the women candidacy from diverse group in the Province and Federal level Elections-2022" at Nepalgunj of Lumbini Province. The program was done with the support of United Nations Development Program- Election Support Project. (UNDP-ESP) with a focus on the participation of women in the upcoming Federal and Province elections.link

 

  • “National Level Dialogue between key parties political Leaders on Meaningful Participation of women in upcoming Federal and Province Level Elections”

    The program focused on the strategy of Party for meaningful participation of women in the upcoming Federal and Province Level Elections 2022. The Program was facilitated by Tv anchor Aarti Chataut where the political leaders were asked the key questions developed on the current scenario.link

     

  • “Trasitional Justice Bill Ammendment” Sankalpa-WA and Women's NGOs Federation jointly organized a " Discussion Program on Transitional Justice Bill Amendment" with political leaders from key political parties of Nepal at Alpha House, New Baneshwor. Advocate Raju Prasad Chapagain gave paper presentation on the bill amendments.link

 

    • “Report Launch and Election review Workshop of Local Level Elections 2022” Report Launch and Election Review Workshop of Local Level Elections 2079" The program was held in the presence of Honorable Dinesh Kumar Thapalia- Chief of Election Commission of Nepal (ECN) as Chief Guest, Special Guests- Honorable Dr. Janaki Kumari Tuladhar, Honorable Shagun Shumsher J.B.Rana of Election Commission on Nepal (ECN) link
  •  “Meeting With Parliamentarians” Having quotas for women candidates written in the constitution was applauded as a win for women in politics and was seen as a progressive step to increase women in decision making powers. That is why parliamentarians have started lobbying for change in the next elections so that the constitutional right of 33% of candidates to go to women candidates is not overlooked again. Furthermore, in the case of the legally binding treaty, parliamentarians were also enthusiastic about putting it forward and starting a call for action to their parties as it is another progressive legislation that Nepal should be known for in South Asia.

 

    • Observation of Local Level Elections 2022 Sankalpa observed the Local Level Elections 2022 from GEDSI perspective in all the seven provinces across the country by mobilizing 250 Observers from GEDSI group to observe free and fair elections to all.

 

    • “Orientation to Local Level Elections Observers” Sankalpa Women’s Alliance for Peace, Justice and Democracy along with Women’s NGO Federation gave a one day training to the observers from Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur Districts on all the necessary techniques to observe the Local Level Elections on the basis of the Election Code of Conduct.image

 

  • “Dialogue with Women Candidates for Local Level Elections (Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ward Chairs)” Sankalpa Women’s Alliance for Peace, Justice and Democracy and Women’s NGO Federationhas started a campaign. ‘Women win in politics’ to support women in politics and increase the number of women participants.

The campaign also included a program recently on May 2 nd with the mayoral and deputy mayoral candidates of Kathmandu and Lalitpur Metropolitan City. Our women candidates briefly discussed their commitments during their reign, including their support for other fellow candidates.

    • “Political Roundtable Discussion on Women’s Meaningful Participation in Politics” Sankalpa - Women’s Alliance for Justice, Peace and Democracy hosted a panel discussion with members of various political parties to gain their perspectives and reactions. We also invited current women vice-chairs and other candidates who had put their names forward for nomination but were not chosen to be part of the discussion as well.
